First Home Owner Grant (FHOG)

What Is the FHOG?
- A one-off $10,000 payment from the WA Government.
- For new homes only (new builds, newly completed homes, or substantially renovated homes).
- No income or asset test.
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
You may qualify if:
- You’re 18+ years old.
- At least one applicant is an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- You and your partner have never owned residential property in Australia that you lived in.
- You have not previously received the FHOG or first home owner duty concession.
- The property will be your main residence.
Property Requirements
- Must be a new residential property.
- Value must be below.
- $750,000 (south of the 26th parallel – includes Perth).
- $1,000,000 (north of the 26th parallel).
How to Apply
- Apply through your lender or directly via RevenueWA.
- Provide ID, contract documents, and proof of ownership.
- Applications must be lodged within 12 months of completion.

How long does it take to build a home?
The time required to build a home varies depending on factors such as your chosen design, site conditions, approvals, weather, and material availability. While many homes in Western Australia are completed within approximately 6–12 months from the start of construction, timeframes may vary. We’ll keep you informed throughout your build so you know what to expect.
Can I customise the design of my home?
Yes. Depending on your chosen home design, building stage, and applicable requirements, you may be able to personalise selected layouts, finishes, colours, fixtures, and other design features. Our team will discuss the available options with you during the design process.
Are your homes affordable for first-time buyers?

Our support continues after handover. You’ll receive the relevant documentation, including warranties, certificates, and maintenance information where applicable. If eligible issues arise during the applicable maintenance or statutory warranty periods, they will be managed in accordance with your building contract and relevant Western Australian legislation.
